finally, this week's reserved for moi to rest! i haven't worked for 7 days straight in a row for sucha long long time. but it kinda help drift me away from insomnia for 1 week. it had been lala land before 1am nearly every night for the past week. unfortunately, think i'm back to insomnias on weeknights. after the weekend's sleep till mid/late noon, it kinda made me start sleeping late all over again.
anyways, last week was really busy weezy. monday was training for CommunicAsia, tue-fri was the official event. it was kinda fun, seldom do we get the chance to work wit our own moto collegues, but over-tiring. the big shots flew over from chicago, which made us few asians kinda stressed. everything was pro-active, be friendly, talk to 'em more. well as expected, half of us got sick by the end of 4 days. for some, just over 2 days.
you getta meet the press, people from all parts of asia, weird people, nice people and big people- i mean big fat business men, you see the wealth in 'em i tell you. anyways it was work, rush somewhere nearby for dinner, and then dash home for bed. freaking tiring. not forgetting only half an hour's break every single day. like, wtf, only enough for gobbling your meals down your stummy. btw CommunicAsia was held at Expo, imagine how shocked i was to hear that. freaking Expo, the one near Changi airport! not suntec city. omfg. we hadta reach there by 7am on tuesday, waking up at 5plus am to a rainy morning ain't motivational. it was 2 cab rides, costing 20plus each time and 2 1hour travels to expo over the 4 days. phew.
btw it was fun to watch how kiasu people display kiasuism. and i'm not pointing only to singaporeans. even the koreans, thai, etc, are kiasu as well. everyone really loves the moto lanyard so much, they actually come form the snakelong queue every hour. kinda disgusted us. lol. there were models of car show materials walking around at LG and samsung, only moto's a lil different. interestingly, you get to see pervertic unkles asking for car show models. 'why moto never employ those models to take pictures wit us?' dream on unkles.
glad i bumped into my coussie, daphne and jiali at the event. haven't seen em for eons!
sadly, i didn't manage to take much peeks there. kinda regretted not snapping random shots. was busy most of the time there, so ain't got much chances. i really regretted not capturing this fun interactive projector thingy they had there which caught the public's attention. it's actually this intereactive feature whereby it'll flash 4 scenes, 1 wit a pebbles in a pond and a few U6 handsets in it accompanied by japanese fishes. once you step foot within the pond, the fishes would swim away. the other one's with leaves ruffled all over U6s. once you walk across the area, the leaves would ruffle away. it's a really cute feature which got everyone playing along wit it. you could actually see silly adults stomping that area which makes you wanna lol at 'em. and i mean literally.
anyways after work on friday, james came to pick me and then, sara, for dinner at marina. poor lad, sorry we made you drive so much. hahaha. we actually spent 2 hours in the car 'cos of jams and round abouts to zouk. lol. we had to collect the invites from char before heading to dinner that night. after dinner, we went to catch char, who was modelling for Murder.
We were there for 'The Cacophony Society' a showcase of Frufru & Tigerlily, Stray and Murder. i really love the apparels of Frufru & Tigerlily. really retrospired. after the show, we danced the night away before heading home.
it was rest & relax on saturday before meeting my buddies who booked out, we had supper at this HK eatery at marina square. food's not bad there... sunday was spent wit mommee and daddy. supposed to treat 'em to dinner after getting my pay for last month so we had jap food at ichiban boshi. yum yum.
omg i'm so dying to go for Mango's sale. too busy and tired last week to wreak havoc last thursday. nice clotheys, wait for me!!!! hope the shops' aint running out of sizes. tomorrow's time for a well-deserved spreeeeee!
