went down to meet mel and rud after work. reached there at only like 8pm? so sorry to make you guys wait!! not forgetting mel's boy and his friend. sigh. we discussed da night before and agreed not to ask em along but they came in da end. grr. fret that rud would feel out of place, which became true. sigh. i always noticed that rudster would feel left out wheneva he was around. no idea why though. sigh.

anyways we did dinner at pastamania. really freaking filling one. and headed to room full of blues after that. hadn't been there before but heard quite alot about it from mel. it's an interesting pub wit middle-aged regulars and i feel damn freaking young. haha. knew 3 new peeps today. selena- da air stewardess, unkle patrick- da kewl unkle who has da grooves of rod stewart . not forgetting da sound of him too. good entertainment i must say :D he's a kewl unkle who frequents every week wit her eurasian wife. how loving :D i wanna be like em when i grow old :)not forgetting a son who's in perth working and studying, who unkle patrick claims looks just like how he himself looks, good genes pass down da family tree.lol. jovial father i see... he's a really funny and friendly dude. da philipino acoustic singer was really friendly too. plays and sings really well. all da old hits even current ones were played through da night.

our lurvely melissa liow even sang dreaming of you live. lol. there's even a video of her singing which i couldn't get it up in here.

i noticed this lady who keep looking at me. and i meant looking. not staring. strange....i stole a few glances at her and she was still looking?! i was like, do i know her? no.
selena came back frm da ladies and told me she asked if i was ah girl from da channel i show. omg. it's not da first time i heard that comment. shux. i so do not look like her k! so stop it! she even wanted to come say hi to me. oh gawd. she is strange indeed. eeee. im scared.
she's paranoid.

anyhow i enjoyed da short visit there. chilling to old tunes and havin a few to drink :) having a good talk wit selena on her expertise. she seemed to be promoting da job. lol. briefing on da benefits and many interesting stories. interesting and fun, makes me feel like applying for it after skool. guess shall consider about it :)
thank god rud was enjoying himself too.

i love hans. especially da one at park mall. brings back memories. ahhh... haven't changed since ma dad worked there in da past. waiting for him either in his office or shopping in plaza sing. and then have dinner at da eateries at da basement. sigh... reminiscence...

my dumb dad embarassed me at hans:(
waiter: hi sir would you like to have da set meal?
dad: do you have da breakfast set?
waiter: eh sir now is da lunchtime. set breakfast ended much earlier. now too late already.
dad: yeah cos' my daughter just woke up, so she should have her breakfast now.
waiter: haha.

thanks dad! for mocking at ma sleep-in habits. grrr. i'm so freaking tired and since it's my off day, of cos no wake ups before 1pm! grrr.

i had da set lunch which is not bad. only da dessert sucks. is watermelon even considered as dessert? wtf? shouldn't it be some ice-cream or cake? :(

park mall is always interesting and fun wit all da really pretty furniture and cosy interior decors...ahhhhh....i'm sure to pop by if i need some home improvement. which i hope would be soon. money money come to mama!

walked around plaza sing. and had tea there. shite i just ate like 2 hours ago and now i'm havin tea! lol.

happy birthday dude..

happy birthday again to rong. i didn't notice dat time really has past by so quickly. still remember we celebrated your last birthday at ur crib. well da same went for this year's birthday. hit da 20 now, so gotta behave like ya age ait. lol.
not that you ain't. hee.

anyways done wit work at paragon again today. supposed to spend his birthday in town. somehow da plan got phucked up and we ended up shopping for a lil while. we as in kim and me. dunno what's up wit da dudes, supposed to have dinner wit him but da rest of em either didn't join or claim that they're too broke to hit town. what a disappointment. kim even took a cab to town and then they just called to change da plan. wtf. okays to his place is okay but that ain't what the birthday boy wanted. sigh.

didn't know whether to join em for dinner near his place or have it ourselves cos' the shops was just begging for us to stay. sigh. i miss shopping! we thought da whole gang was there but only guth and rod. wtf? so few of us? we even rushed there by cab. sigh.

well guess age is really catching up wit us. we ended up havin 'zi cha' for dinner. lol. that just shows our age :(

well supported by the fact that we got no other betta choices near his place. well not too bad one since i hadn't had chinese cruisine for sucha long time. deer meet, oatmeal prawns, kailan, stir-fried chicken...yum yum...

went back his place to watch da comedy that they've been talkin about for ages. this indian comedian who jokes about all da different cultures and races. so damn funny. everyone went for a swim at da mahjong table while me and rong chilled in his room. a lil strange. each doing our own stuf. lol. he, trying to nap and me, msn-ing away online.
got so tired that we switched shift, he msn-ing and me napping. da fatigue accumulated from da past few days of work. so blardy tireed.

we left even before liang and alan came. gawd they're so freaking late. already 2am yet they haven't arrive! too tired to wait on.

relaxamania

finally end of da moronic work week. okay not totally end, one more half day tomorrow but at least i got to eat something good today.
da stupid job made me leave only aft 6.30. 'aiyah since a few more boxes to go only, finish up then leave k'. sulking, 'okay loh.'

fark. da traffic was a killa. i already knew it before i left, yet i farking stayed to finish up. how dumb of me. grrrr. it took me 1 hour plus to arrive in town not minusing the jam i was caught in. ma poor gurls were famished and started witout me. had a not-so-filling dinner at suki sushi. the food ain't too good. plus i was low on cash. sigh.

congrats to kim!! she's officially not-single. lol. guess she's been waiting for this day to come for a long time? too many suitors but none of her type. finally, he's the one.....sigh. heard that aiwen got attached too. all attached suddenly! plus recently AJ got attached too. sigh...

okay enuf of lonliness. but that's how i feel... suddenly everyone's attached all at once. left only wit min and me. i'm single....that's what i wanna be.. i should be blasting that on my boombox since i guess we should make do wit what we have. or rather make da best outta what we possess. sigh.

can't help but feel this loneliness when i found out that they were attached. it just feels like effie is left in this deserted lil crazee world of her's which has now turned into silent world. tho ma people claim that even though they're attached, they would still be here for their friends. but most of these claims are bullsh*tes. of cos' no matter what, their partners would always come first. even tho you know that the people they're seeing now might not be their lifetime partners, but yet they would still put em in first class no matter what. yes, first class treatment. whereas friends are left in da economy class. sigh. this is how the world works. many of these cases end up bad. wit parnters leaving em and they'll come back crying to their friends. some even worst cases, wit repeated mistakes ova and ova till their friends give up on em.

well these stories ain't made up. i heard from many similar cases like these, even though not all of em happen to effie. she's just a listener. and she certainly hope she wouldn't be experiencing all these sh*te first hand.

anyways we had a fun time at cable car after suki sushi. the place is nice to chill out indeed. but i was cash strapped so i couldn't spend on drinks. sigh. min, if you're reading this, i certainly hope that there would be less visits to cable car for you. ALONE. cos' that would signify bad things to come. drink less please.....there're tonnes on other things which you can indulge and waste money on. maybe on me? lol.

well tomorrow's gonna be at paragon and then to somewhere to celebrate his birthday.

mambojambo

finally to zouk! hadn't been clubbing for ages. didn't wanna go initially but found out that i'll only be workin at 11am tomorrow. yahooo!! so i got it planned quickly. aj was already plannin to club days earlier so i rang her up to join her.

went home for ma dinner before heading down to zouk to meet em up. quek, gua, kit and ben came along too. but we lost em from da beginning, joined aj's friend, sharon and her friend right from da beginning in phuture. sharon was a really crazee babe. she sure know how to have fun. lol. ahhh... hadn't had fun wit gurls for sucha long time!! i'm practically clubbing wit aj and da guys all da time!

gurls just wanna have fun...ooohh gurls just wanna have fun...reminds me of doug of hoobastank who sang this song live at siloso wit his ladee-like-voice. lol. shalln't get there. lol.

well as usual the dancefloor at phuture was packed wit guys. much more guys than gurls. had ma first lychee martini at phuture. lol. it was good! many more to come... i'm not really an alcoholic but this one just leaves me yearning for more. it's always vodka, which is kinda getting bored for me. had a pint of barcardi breeeze which is good as well. good enough for the night :D

mambo was fun, but too bad didn;t get to dance to da hits cos' the 3 of em ain't really into retro. sigh. but sharon was havin fun. i could see that. lol. the way she moves just makes you wanna move along wit her, what a motivator! lol.

thanks to a supa big mama in phuture who stomped on ma feet. if only it was just ma feet. she stepped on ma new kicks! and thanks to quek who pushed me to her. grrr. i hate ladees who think that they own da whole dance floor and grind all ova the place. you think what? you own da dancefloor ah? grrr. especially the fact that she's big. you should see how the crowd reacted to her grinding. lol. even dumb quek and gua kept pushing us gurls to her. irritating ladee. and just when quek pushed me, ma feet fell near hers. and she farking stepped on ma kicks! aaaaahhhggg! ma white kicks which even i myself can't bear to soil.

grrrr. freaking ass. thanks anyway in helping me make ma shoe appear less white.

for the rest of da night, we stayed at phuture. bumped into erin and alan surprisingly. thought they wouldn't go club together. strange.

i wanted to head home to prepare for da early wake da next day but was psychoed by aj to have prata. oh wells, once a while won't do me harm. anyways since i hadn't chilled wit em for a long time, why not? got some catching up to do too.

cheese prata wit teh peng please..yummyy...left for home at 4 plus. tomorrow's so gonna be a long day for me. slept at 6 and gotta wake at 10? gawd.

when shall da next mambo night for me be? hope da next rounds gonna be filled wit ma lurvelys as well :D

hmm sorry for the late updates people. been so busy wit work lately. busy till effie sprawls on da bed every night before 12. that's so not effie. da old effie who sleeps past 2am every night or morning i shall say. sigh. this job is really bad for health. not advisable folks. lethargic every night. and i seem to have so many things to do but time just doesn't allow me to.

well well. had a pleasant day today. out wit bern for Be Cool at marina sq. think i hadn't been there for ages!! movies are always at cine or plaza sing. neva marina sq. strange. had ma long john silvers' fish wrap lunch in da theatre. yum yum. best part? da theatre's not even half full. had all da space to ourselves!

the two gurls rushed to cheena square in effort to collect some vintage or interesting finds but were a lil too late. sob. the shops were in amidst of closing. maybe next time. managed to catch a few shops wit cute vintage telephones. 200+ i wanna buy but guess i shall wait till we move or something. it wouldn't fit ma present crib. but da phones are sooooo c.u.t.e!!! can't wait to get em!!!

a lil disappointed as i've always been wanting to visit those shops. anticipating for this day to come, yet it's back to square one. grrr.

went to smith st for dinner wanton mee as usual and ah ballings! didn't wanna have wanton mee initially cos' of ma late lunch but i couldn't resist! i miss ah ballings. sweet peanuts soup. yummy "p
both of us walked to liang court to visit kinokuniya. ahhhh....peace. and then, the supamart to window shop-sadly. i particularly like that place. no idea why.

then it's for dessert again!! mac donald's hot fudge sundae!!geesh...effie is sucha glutton at times. did i say at times? i mean all da time. hee hee.

met up ma relatives today straight after work. so looking forward to it after da shity 5 hours at work!! yey!!
took 2 buses down to bishan's columbarium and surprisingly i found ma way in. everyone was waiting for da big shot- effie- lol. didn't mean to okay! thanks to da far location. looks like everyone's there except nicolas and ma sis. what's new anyway. lol. leslee please don't kill me. tee hee hee.

everyone decided upon goin to unkle ah choy's house for dinner. hmm feels like CNY dinner to me. haha.
leslee and i were trying to get our parents to go shopping instead of home! though they kept complaining of being sticky and stuff due to da annoying weather. such good weather for sunbathing!! yet no time for it...argh. always happens. damit.

it feels like being a kid again, convincing our parents to head either to da supamart or town instead of home. lol. sigh. still remember in da past we always try to hint each other to go ahead and talk our parents out of da boring mentality- going home. besides, i'm on a tight schedule now, if i have da chance to relax and chill out of ma crib, why not??! can't afford to waste this precious chance.

being effie, she casually commented ' aiyah i seldom get off leh!! today is a sorta off day, of cos' not just go home now, so boring!!' well, it sorta worked. haha. that ain't a good news. daddy replied ' aiyah since you wanna go out, then go out yourself lah. later join us for dinner after you're done.'
'as if i can find someone to go out wit me now. i don't wanna shop alone.' mum goes' yeah true ah. last minute. haha'

sometimes parents neva seem to work their brains though they keep reprimanding their kids for da same mistake. sigh.

imagine da scene. leslee, aunty, and effie at da backseat. aunty sat a lil forward den da 2 of us childish kids kept whispering ' you ask lah. you ask!! say you wanna go out! quick!' lol. da thought of it is just so farnie. hahaha. times neva change. we were still da same as before when we were much younger.

well in the end leslee did manage to spit out ' hey ma, we go parkway can? meet you guys later. ' yey!!! thank god they agreed. so ma folks dropped us at parkway for some shopping. window shopping i mean. lol. and not forgetting ma much delayed lunch.

New Zealand Natural ice-cream and Roti boy for lunch. lol. how healthy.

effie's fetish for choc neva seems to stop. she just ain't satisfied wit her frequent choc escapades. shux. she is so gonna get fat. gah.

well parkway did change quite a bit wit new food courts and shops. didn't manage to find da summer edition skirt i want from mango. sigh. anyways what if i found it? i can't afford to splurge no more. :(

' eh why is there water sprouting at da side, raining huh?' 'oh that's da fountain lah!! what raining?' i saw a smirk across da unkle's face. he, who happened to be eavesdropping obviously is smirking at leslee. it was rain. no fountain at all! fountain in da mid of 3rd or 4th storey sprouting water from da edge of da building? sounds creative but wierd. lol. da peeps downstairs are sure to get drenched. lol.

we went to giant supamart and went on photo session wheneva no sales fellas were around. click click click.
after, it was to MPH- which we enjoyed alot checking out yummilicious homes and interiors and talks about hotselling books, we rushed down back to her crib. unkle dax had came to pick us up for dinner.

not a very filling dinner. at least not for da infamous glutton effie. lol.

but nonetheless i did enjoy ma day very much :D thank gawd it's a saturday.
